I did indeed journal this week, and I have to admit, I’m not a fan. I’ve always done it off and on, whenever I’ve felt like I needed to work through something, but I’ve never done it consistently.
For my day job, I spend a lot of time writing. For my blog, I spend a lot of time writing. To support my social media platforms, I spend a lot of time writing. So I found fitting more writing into my day to be a bit of a challenge.
As far as the two challenges I’ve done so far – meditation and journaling, I definitely preferred meditation.
This week, I’m taking on starting with a win.
What does that even mean? It means that the first thing I do every morning is something that makes me feel great when I get it off my plate. I already work out most mornings, so this will be more of a professional vs personal win. I have a huge project on my plate right now, so I’ll tackle a big piece of that every morning before doing anything else.
Too often, we jump right into checking email, or getting involved in unimportant tasks that derail our days. So, I’m trying to fix that by focusing on the bigger items before getting bogged down in the day to day.
Excited to tackle this one this week!
